What is Groupage Transport?

Groupage transport is a cost effective method of moving goods between destinations.

What is a Groupage Transport Service?

A groupage transport service is where a number of consignments, destined for the same location, are consolidated into a single trailer load. Groupage Transport is extremely cost effective as customers only pay for the space occupied by their shipments and not for the whole trailer.

When should I use a Groupage Transport Service?

We recommend that a groupage service should be used by customers who have cargo weighing up to 2 tonnes, or where the volume is smaller than 10 m³.

From our experience, small to medium sized businesses with multiple small shipment sizes benefited from using a groupage transport service.

What countries does our groupage transport service cover?

We operate scheduled weekly groupage transport services between Romania and Europe, which includes the following countries: the UK, Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Austria, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Moldova, Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia and Hungary.

How long does it take?

The length of delivery varies depending on the transportation route and other related factors which may influence the delivery time. Our comprehensive range of groupage services offer scheduled departures days and fast transit times right across Europe. County specific groupage transport service details are available upon request, though as a guide the average transit time is 3 days. Groupage shipments for the UK are delivered within 24/48 hours.

How does it work?

We will arrange for the cargo to be collected and transported to the consolidation warehouse. The cargo is then consolidated and transported to its European destination; the cargo is then dispatched at a strategically located warehouse. From here the cargo is reloaded and delivered locally to its final destination point – this stage is generally completed within 24 hours.
